I want to write a book of poetry.
I have a note in my phone entitled “Poetic Moments”.
This is where I write down all the beautiful lines that come into my head that I think could one day go into a poem…
One day I’m going to organize them and write like 100 poems.
And they are all going to be epic.
Liars
Cheaters
Thieves
People that don’t keep their word
Ignorance
Bigotry
Jealousy
Stereotypes
Snobs
Know-it-alls
Posers
Being broke
Hoodrats
Fakers
Children
Animals
Ugly haircuts
Fake bags
Crushed shoes
Bad teeth
Bad breath
Bad skin
People with Napoleon complex
People who try to stifle creativity
People who kill the fun
People who are judgmental
People who don’t have talents
People who aren’t tapped into popular culture
Typos
Auto-correct mistakes
Patriotism
Ethnocentrism
Inambulation
People with small vocabularies
Fake gangsters
Real gangsters
With all that said.. I can name someone from each of these categories that is or has been a part of my life whom I love.
All of this is to say: Nobody’s perfect. I will accept you for who you are, I will try to get past the things about you that annoy me. We can make things work.
